Summary: KDE does not support Alsa system
Description:
Dear Alsa Project Team,
Iam a regular linux user.
I have a soundcard named: Yamaha opl3-sa2
When i installed linux version 2.2 redhat 7 I have configurated my sound
card with redhat's (sndconfig) sound configuration program.
But When I Installed Redhat Linux 8 Kernel version 2.4.xx. then sndconfig
sound card configuration program could not configure me sound card
properly.
Then I Installed Alsa sound card driver. After Installation My sound card
configurated properly.
But KDE sound system ARTS could not play my sound card.
Then I tested alsa driver with XMMS player with OSS plugien.
The Main Problem is that KDE ARTS sound system could not work properly.
Example when I Enable KDE sound system and click Test Sound Button Then no
sound
is heared and when I Select the driver Alsa also no sound is heared.
please dear team solve this problem by sending mail to me
