Summary: Distorted sound with enabled dmix plugin
Description:
After 10-20 minutes listening music with xmms or beep-media-player I hear
distorted sound. Appear noise.
This problem is appear when enabled dmix plugin through configuration file
~/.asoundrc.

I think it's maybe help.
When I disable HT on P4 or use Uniprocessor kernel sound not distorted on
this system.

Yes, this seems triggered with SMP/HT.
Anyway, could you try the attached patch with SMP/HT environment?
