If I plug in headphones, there is NO SOUND in the headphones at all. 'External Amplifier' is enabled in alsamixer - no effect tried every ac97_quirk option - no effect. If there are any patches i would like to test them, or any help on how i could try and fix the problem myself would be appreciated. I dont want to have to try and hack the source myself, but it has been a year since it was first reported and i really want to get sound out of the headphones, the laptop speakers are not great.
