these module parameters are obsolete on 0.9.0 (they are for 0.5.x
drivers).  sorry if you referred to INSTALL in alsa-driver.  the
document was wrong.  now it's fixed.

please remove all module options from snd-es1968 (except for
snd_index).  it should work as default.

also, please make sure that the version of your alsa-utils / alsa-lib
is really 0.9.0.
