At best, use git-send-email with a cover letter. And, basically for this kind of extension, the only thing to be really cared is about the compatibility with old kernels. That is, the program must run fine with an old kernel without your change in hdsp driver as well as other rme/hdsp devices to work as it was. thanks, Takashi
