Subject: MAC address problems on QCA 9377
Date: Wed, 24 Jan 2024 14:45:26 +0100	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <uor49n$86n$1@ciao.gmane.io> (raw)

We see occasionally a wrong MAC address of 00:03:7F:50:00:01 instead of
a MAC c4:93:00... from the module manufacturer 8devices.

In the logs we see

wmi event ready sw_version 0x01000000 abi_version 331 mac_addr
c4:93:00:1c:67:55 status 0
[ 10.532051] ath10k_sdio mmc2:0001:1: boot upload otp to 0x1234 len 24037
[ 10.577733] ath10k_sdio mmc2:0001:1: boot otp execute result 3
[ 10.577774] ath10k_sdio mmc2:0001:1: boot using calibration mode otp

if everything is okay and

wmi event ready sw_version 0x01000000 abi_version 331 mac_addr
00:03:7f:50:00:01 status 0
[ 10.501574] ath10k_sdio mmc2:0001:1: boot upload otp to 0x1234 len 24037
[ 10.548764] ath10k_sdio mmc2:0001:1: boot otp execute result 2
[ 10.548808] ath10k_sdio mmc2:0001:1: boot using calibration mode otp

if failed.

Does anyone know what the result codes 2 and 3 exactly mean?
Thx
