Subject: [ath9k-devel] Setting mcast rate > 1Mbps not working
Date: Wed, 6 Jul 2016 14:06:18 -0400	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <CAD2aWQE2e9rbGc1MZuGkP3HUdF1Trtk45iLjDP=dhiB5ah5-XQ@mail.gmail.com> (raw)

Greetings,

My apologies if this is a duplicate, I couldn't find a way to search the
ath9k-devel archive and my Google searching turned up nothing helpful.

I'm having trouble setting the mcast rate on an Alfa AR9271 based USB
adapter while in IBSS mode. No matter what I sent the mcast rate value to,
if I send broadcast packets out they are always sent out at 1.0 Mbps.

I've tried setting it in the iw ibss join command as well as setting it
after using iw <dev> set mcast_rate 11 as well as trying on older
combinations of the linux kernel and firmware.

Does this driver support setting the mcast rate under ibss? If so, is there
a different way I need to go about setting it?

Thanks,
Bonte
