Subject: [PATCH bpf-next v2 0/7] selftests/bpf: Fix selftests failures with LLVM 23
Date: Wed, 14 Oct 2026 19:30:36 +0800 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <20261014113043.640435-1-kafai.wan@linux.dev> (raw)
Building with clang/LLVM 23 breaks several selftests. Patches #1 to #4 fix
those failures.
The following self-tests also fail under specific invocations of
test_progs:
- ./test_progs -t prog_tests_framework/test_fail -v
test_prog_tests_framework:FAIL:skip_cnt_check
unexpected skip_cnt_check: actual 0 != expected 2
- ./test_progs -t prog_tests_framework_expected_msgs -v
Caught signal #11!
- ./test_progs -t prog_tests_framework_compare_text -v
Caught signal #11!
Patches #5 to #7 fix these.
Changes in v2:
- Collect the selftest fixes from the two patches in v1
patches: #1, #5, #6 and #7.
- Add three new patches: #2, #3 and #4.
Changes in v1:
- https://lore.kernel.org/bpf/20261012140202.2754552-1-kafai.wan@linux.dev/T/
