It's similar to
http://git.yoctoproject.org/cgit.cgi/poky/plain/meta/recipes-kernel/sysprof/files/define-NT_GNU_BUILD_ID.patch,
so I guess it's acceptable. The perf people are also doing the same
thing apparently.
