A quick look at our git history shows that we don't package glib2 version
2.12.9 since commit 84c82f9fd5b (Mar 6, 2008), that predates the first git
tagged version of Buildroot (2009.02). I'm afraid we can't help you much with
this. Commit 68bc1e172e6d72 (libglib2: halt build early with description if
host glib-genmarshal isn't found) from around the same time seems to indicate
that you may need glib2 development package on your host.
Please consider migrating to a more recent version of Buildroot.
