In fact, that's the way I originally went for; I do have such a minimalist defconfig, which is just bcmrpi_quick with DT enabled. But then I thought that it would be easier to maintain usign the bundled defconfig, even though it is much bigger. But if you prefer, I can just restore my minimalist defconfig before I respin.
