I've applied, with the following changes:

    [Thomas:
     - remove dependency on host-cmake, this is handled by the
       host-cmake-package infrastructure
     - add quotes around $(HOSTCXX)
     - add CPOL.htm to <pkg>_LICENSE_FILES.
     - tweaks to the readme.txt file.]
