There are two issues here. First, the GPL only applies to the C++
bindings, which are conditionally enabled with BR2_PACKAGE_LIBFTDI_CPP.
Second, the COPYING.LIB is indeed the LGPL-2.0, but the source file for
libftdi states LGPL-2.1-only, see:
http://developer.intra2net.com/git/?p=libftdi;a=blob;f=src/ftdi.c;h=988a9f192942a2a31bb038cc45451df0e0cb32d9;hb=HEAD#l7
Furthermore, src/ftdi_stream.c also bears a notice of the MIT license,
so the library itself is under both LGPL-2.1-only and MIT.
I've fixed that all, and applied to master, thanks.
Regards,
Yann E. MORIN.
