Yes, I can confirm that adding

CFLAGS="$(TARGET_CFLAGS) -mabi=aapcs-linux"

to alsa_utils.mk and alsa-utils.mk indeed fixes a problem for ARM (tested on ARM920T Cirrus Logic CPU)
