Hi Vincent.
Well, you could just do:

ifeq ($(BR2_PACKAGE_ZLIB),y)
MPLAYER_DEPENDENCIES += zlib
else
MPLAYER_CONF_OPTS += --disable-decoder=apng --disable-encoder=apng 
--disable-decoder=tdsc
endif

Can't you?
