If this mass bump is related to the Kodi bump, then it should be the
very next patch after the Kodi bump, before the new features you're
adding (even before the patch re-adding rtmp support).
Ditto for the following bump patches, of course.
This is acceptable that the bumps be split in multiple patches to ease
review like you did, but then they must be grouped together in the
series, and no feature stuff must be in-between.

Pulseaudio has a dependency on SYNC_4, while kodi has a dependency on
SYNC_8.
Can we assume that a CPU with sync_8 will have sync_4? It would seem
weird that this would not be the case (i.e. sync_8 is stronger thann

Please propagate the dependency on sync_4 from pulseaudi.

So it means that, just after the bump to kodi-17 but before that patch,
rtmp is still selectable in menuconfig and --[en,dis]able-trmp is still
passed in CONF_OPTS, even though it now is a cmake package and so does
not take --[en,dis]able-foo options anymore...
The rtmp option should have been removed in the bump, with a legacy
entry added.
Then this patch would add the rtmp inputstream addon, and as a courtesy
to the user, add the select from the legacy option to the new package.

Since XBMC was renamed to Kodi, upstream is progressively propagating
the rename to directories and files, and in some cases kept a legacy
symlink xbmc->kodi, like /usr/lib/xbmc pointing to /usr/lib/kodi.
In 62165ae (package/kodi: Fix path to binary in service), the path was
changed to use the new canonical path, but the init script was left out.
This was not seen previously, because of the legacy symlink.
But with the advent of Kodi 17 (Krypton), that legacy symlink is no
more, and the init script no longer works.
Do for the init script what was done two years ago for the service file.

The fsck wrapper from util-linux is better maintained, so it should be
preferred. In particular, systemd relies on features in the util-linux
fsck wrapper that don't exist in the e2fsprogs one. However, since
e2fsprogs depends on util-linux, the one from e2fsprogs currently has
precedence. So in order to have e2fsck from e2fsprogs and the fsck
wrapper from util-linux, we disable e2fsprogs' fsck if the one from
util-linux is selected.
