When switching from BR 2020 to BR 2024 (both usng linaro 7.3.1), the size increases from 13304k to 17048k (+28%). Almost all compiled files are larger. But, none of the packages are the same version in the 2020 and 2024 builds. I assume some of the size increase is due to new protocols, features, etc. Size never decreases as the version increases. It would be interesting to add a couple packages that are the same version in 2020 and 2024 to see what the difference is betwewn -Os and -O2. Or is it easy to change that flag in the 2024 build to match the 2020 build?
