From mboxrd@z Thu Jan 1 00:00:00 1970 From: Andreas Gruenbacher Date: Mon, 6 Mar 2017 15:33:56 +0100 Subject: [Cluster-devel] [PATCH] gfs2: Avoid alignment hole in struct lm_lockname Message-ID: <1488810836-11427-1-git-send-email-agruenba@redhat.com> List-Id: To: cluster-devel.redhat.com MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Commit 88ffbf3e03 switches to using rhashtables for glocks, hashing over the entire struct lm_lockname instead of its individual fields. On some architectures, struct lm_lockname contains a hole of uninitialized memory due to alignment rules, which now leads to incorrect hash values. Get rid of that hole.
