Needs a device of course, so 
    cryptsetup luksOpen /dev/sda3 e1
for /dev/mapper/e1

Same as above:
   cryptsetup --key-file=<some file> luksOpen /dev/sda3  e1

and with reading from stdin

   cryptsetup --key-file="-" luksOpen /dev/loop0 e1
