Although the error seems to have gone down, I still experience unexpected
behaviour with the patch and drm.poll=0. About an hour ago the xrandr position
for the left monitor got cancelled again.
To give an indication of the error rate (still don't know if the edid errors
are related):
aschuring@neminis:~$ uptime
23:51:06 up 14:58, 7 users, load average: 0.58, 0.91, 0.97
aschuring@neminis:~$ dmesg|grep EDID|wc -l
126
