Using Fedora 28 Rawhide Live, I can freeze my system reproducible, doing the
following:

1. start Firefox
2. open Google maps
3. keep resizing the window of Firefox till freeze

No freezes for some time now, so I'm closing this.

I think the nouveau multithreading fixes solved it:
