You need to append to the line that starts with "linux", not the last line.
E.g. if you have something like this:
linux /vmlinuz-3.17.4-301.fc21.x86_64 root=/dev/mapper/fedora-root ro
initrd /initramfs-3.17.4-301.fc21.x86_64.img
You need to change it to this:
linux /vmlinuz-3.17.4-301.fc21.x86_64 root=/dev/mapper/fedora-root ro
amdgpu.ppfeaturemask=0xffff3fff
initrd /initramfs-3.17.4-301.fc21.x86_64.img
