Software used on G3 iMac 600MHz: 

xorg-server 1.7.6
xf86-video-r128 6.8.1
linux 2.6.32 w/ dri and r128 compiled as modules
mesa 7.7.1

Attached is a screenshot of the rendering; put Celestia in demo mode and see
for yourself. 

Attached is a copy of the xorg.conf used on this machine.
