I stopped slim, installed gdm and started it and logged in without any errors. I disabled slim and enabled gdm instead and rebooted the computer. Using the same linus git kernel with test patch and mesa git, I've reverted
gnome to 3.4, kept slim as login manager, logged in to gnome, it worked fine,
no errors in dmesg. I stopped slim, installed gdm and started it and logged in
without any errors.

I disabled slim and enabled gdm instead and rebooted the computer. Gdm login
came up, i logged in and it worked fine.
