Today after a few hours of used, my system just locked up again and my screens went black, forcing me to reboot the machine, same thing I've experienced with 3.16 and 3.17 so I believe this is where the bug originated. However, it seems like when I booted up, nothing has been written to kern.log nor does any errors show up in xorg.log, and dmesg shows me nothing. I got the image from: http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.15-rc3-utopic/ which also shows what changes were made to this release.
