I'm having exactly the same problem as described by kees.aarts1.
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 1700X=20
- GPU: ASUS RX 470 (4 GB)
- Monitor: Acer XR341CK monitor, 3440x1440 @ 75 Hz, with support for Adapti=
ve
Sync/FreeSync
- uname -a: Linux winters-pc 4.11.9-1-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Wed Jul 5 18:23:08
CEST 2017 x86_64 GNU/Linux
When I set the display to 75 Hz I start to experience flicker primarily in =
the
bottom third of the display. The issue goes away if I set the refresh rate =
to
60 or lower.
This issue first occured with with kernel 4.11.4. I'm now on 4.11.9 and it's
still happening.
Running the command kees.aarts1 suggested resolves the issue until the next
reboot:
> echo high > /sys/class/drm/card0/device/power_dpm_force_performance_level
I'm a bit of a Linux newbie so I apologise if I've missed anything that mig=
