Never had problems with GeForce 9600GT ( ~3 years of usage ), so it's unlikelly to be a hardware issue ( faulty motherboard, BIOS, PCI-e slot etc= ... ). Also, besides poping a RX460 in, I didn't change anything hardware wise = that could be put to blame. Anyway, in the following days, while waiting for next 4.10RC to come out and hopefully boot, I'll try installing KDE Neon, to see how things stand when amdgpu-pro is used.
