The complete command line was
git-cvsimport -d :pserver:ray007@cvs.drupal.org:/cvs/drupal-contrib -C views
-k contributions/modules/views
Leaving out -k doesn't change anything.
And the manpage for git-cvsimport says, option -A is implicit ...
