From mboxrd@z Thu Jan 1 00:00:00 1970 From: Johannes Sixt Subject: [PATCH 0/5] Consolidate path normalization functions Date: Sat, 7 Feb 2009 16:08:26 +0100 Message-ID: <1234019311-6449-1-git-send-email-j6t@kdbg.org> References: <498CAF73.6050409@lsrfire.ath.cx> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: QUOTED-PRINTABLE Cc: Git Mailing List , Junio C Hamano , Johannes Sixt To: rene.scharfe@lsrfire.ath.cx X-From: git-owner@vger.kernel.org Sat Feb 07 16:17:05 2009 Return-path: Envelope-to: gcvg-git-2@gmane.org Received: from vger.kernel.org ([209.132.176.167]) by lo.gmane.org with esmtp (Exim 4.50) id 1LVovV-0006PA-JF for gcvg-git-2@gmane.org; Sat, 07 Feb 2009 16:17:02 +0100 Received: (majordomo@vger.kernel.org) by vger.kernel.org via listexpand id S1752700AbZBGPPf (ORCPT ); Sat, 7 Feb 2009 10:15:35 -0500 X-Warning: Original message contained 8-bit characters, however during the SMTP transport session the receiving system did not announce capability of receiving 8-bit SMTP (RFC 1651-1653), and as this message does not have MIME headers (RFC 2045-2049) to enable encoding change, we had very little choice. X-Warning: We ASSUME it is less harmful to add the MIME headers, and convert the text to Quoted-Printable, than not to do so, and to strip the message to 7-bits.. (RFC 1428 Appendix A) X-Warning: We don't know what character set the user used, thus we had to write these MIME-headers with our local system default value. As a side effect, this fixes GIT_CEILING_DIRECTORIES on Windows, where this feature is currently broken.
