Subject: [PATCH 15/19] git-check-attr: Error out if no pathnames are specified
Date: Tue, 26 Jul 2011 16:12:58 +0200	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <1311689582-3116-16-git-send-email-mhagger@alum.mit.edu> (raw)
In-Reply-To: <1311689582-3116-1-git-send-email-mhagger@alum.mit.edu>

If no pathnames are passed as command-line arguments and the --stdin
option is not specified, fail with the error message "No file
specified". Add tests of this behavior.

The documentation seems to require at least one pathname, and other
git commands seem to insist on pathname lists not being empty. Add a
similar test to git-check-attr. If it is considered likely that
people depend on the current behavior, I have no problem with skipping
this patch.
