Does adding to your local script complete -o bashdefault -o default -o nospace -F _git g 2>/dev/null \ || complete -o default -o nospace -F _git g work for you? It seems to me you just need to tell bash to run _git or _gitk when doing completion for your alias. -- Shawn.
