The Makefile has: $(patsubst %.perl,%,$(SCRIPT_PERL)): % : %.perl [...] sed -e '1{' \ -e ' s|#!.*perl|#!$(PERL_PATH_SQ)|' \ [...] So just setting PERL_PATH should be enough (from which PERL_PATH_SQ is derived). -Peff
