Except for the word =E2=80=9Cnote=E2=80=9D, I think your suggestion doe=
s not have
anything to do with git notes at all. :)

Special support in gitweb, =E2=80=98git branch=E2=80=99, and so on for =
a branch with
files named after branches and giving descriptions would seem sane
to me.
