The only difference was that I was on macports perl 5.8.9 and Vladimir was on macports perl 5.8.8. If I have time, I'll try it with macports perl 5.8.8 and see if I can reproduce. I'm pretty curious why the apply_textdelta() callback is apparently running twice on the same file w/o the intervening close. :-) j.
