svn to git help wanted

I have an opportunity for someone to get paid to do some short-term
Git related work. I have a Subversion repository with a checkered past
that needs to be converted to Git. I suspect this will require someone
with some "svn dump filter" and Git expertise. Please contact me at

Have you looked into git-svn, svn-fe, and git-filter-branch?

Of course the ideal tools[1] are yet to be made.

But still, this does not sound too bad after all. :)

Thanks Jonathan. I've converted some of our Subversion repos to Git
recently. They're hosted on GitHub now too. I wasn't aware of all of
these tools. I'm sure they would have helped.

This is one of the more tricky repos, and no one here has the time to
work on it this month, which is by when it needs to be completed.
