Agreed. However, I think that one is pretty easy to explain, and conceptually it's not a problem to just tell people to use the "-a" flag if they want to get CVS/SVN semantics. After all, "git commit" will actually make it pretty obvious in the commit message status, _and_ if you haven't done any "git add" you'll get the "nothing to commit" thing, so it's not like this is hard to explain. The real _confusion_ I think came from the filename usage. Linus
