Subject: [GSoC PATCH 0/1] diff: improve scaling of filenames in diffstat to handle UTF-8 chars
Date: Wed, 14 Jan 2026 23:22:30 +0100 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <aWgXJjO4zvCTOZ7K@lorenzo-VM> (raw)
The goal of this patch is to improve how UTF-8 characters are handled
when generating a diffstat. Details are provided in the commit message
of the patch itself.
In this cover letter I would like to ask if this patch (if it gets
accepted, obv) can be considered a valid GSoC "microproject".
Also, as this is my first contribution to Git, please let me know if I
made any mistakes!
