Hey Michael,

Here is what happens when I run it inside the Documentation directory
(without the prefix):

user@server: /local/software/git-1.6.5.7/Documentation
$ make info
    SUBDIR ../
make[1]: `GIT-VERSION-FILE' is up to date.

Usage: jw [<options>] <sgml_file>
where <options> are:

The first thing it does is go to the directory above, weird.
