Installing grub-efi

Is there a different method to installing grub on efi?  I've been
trying to convert my system to EFI so I set up a 100mb fat32 partition
and flagged it as boot in parted, mounted it, made /EFI/BOOT, and then
installed the grub-efi package and ran grub-install /dev/sda, and it
reported installation complete, but it did not bother putting the
core.efi file in the EFI system partition.

You need to mount it at /boot/efi
