Hi there,
as more and more mainboards become dual bios compatible and are
flashable online via flashrom.
i thought it might be a good idea if grub could be compiled as option
rom to be included into the standard bios firmware.
Does anyone have an idea how to achive this, i found plop as a
bootmanager which is capable to be installed as option rom, so i
thought maybe grub is able to do this too?
Best Regards from GER,
JR

This was attempted by Robert Milan in the past. While this does work,
option roms are very limited in size (typically few KiBs for non-VGA
option roms) which limits usefullness a lot
You can hwever use GRUB as coreboot payload.
