I also found I did not have the package unifo= nt installed.

I installed unifont, and now I have the file in the mi= sc folder:

=C2=A0locate unifont.pcf.gz
/usr/share/fonts/X11/misc/unifont.pcf.gz=

However when I run this command I receive an error that I cannot ge= nerate 24x24 font size.

# grub-mkfont -s 24 -o unicode.pf2 /usr/shar= e/fonts/X11/misc/unifont.pcf.gz
grub-mkfont: error: can't set 24x24 font size.

Do I need a packa= ge to generate these font sizes, if so, which ones?

Thanks,

I tried what you advised, Chris, but I have = no such directory:

=C2=A0ls /usr/share/fonts/X11/
100dpi/=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0 75dpi/=C2= =A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0 encodings/ misc/=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0 Type1/= =C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0 util/

So the command:

=C2=A0
grub-mkfont -s 24 -o unicode.pf2 /usr/share/fonts/X11/mis/unifont.pcf.gz
fails on me.
# can't open file /usr/share/fonts/X11/mis/unifont.p= cf.gz, index 0: error 1: cannot open resource

Furthermore, I have no= such file unifont.pcf.gz on the system.

Can you be of further help, I very much appreciate your help.

Agreed. To increase font size regenerate unicode.pf2 using grub-mkfon= t with appropriate -s option. E.g.
grub-mkfont -s 24 -o unicode.pf2 /usr/share/fonts/X11/mis/unifont.pcf.gz
Put resulting file in /boot/grub/unicode_24.pf2 and add
GRUB_FONT_PATH=3D/boot/grub/unicode_24.pf2
to /etc/default/grub
