I discussed this with Tzung-Bi at LPC, which gave me a more detailed
view of the particular issue he was trying to solve. I believe that
reference-counting is a better solution than the new revocable API for
the cros-ec drivers. The revocable API may still have its place in the
kernel, but I increasingly think that it may be a workaround for cases
where introducing reference counting would be very difficult due to
historical reasons.
