Known issue with "hotplug" polling on those systems: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=29536 As of 2.6.36, there are two workarounds. (a) the kernel doesn't attempt to do load-detection on your machine (the cause of the stutter), (b) there is a module parameter (/sys/module/drm_kms_helper/parameters/poll) to disable the polling entirely. -Chris -- Chris Wilson, Intel Open Source Technology Centre
