It helps if you cc the relevant driver maintainers on patch submissions. scripts/get_maintainer.pl run on individual patches will tell you the relevant people, which you can add as Cc: tags so that git send-email will automatically cc them. Then after a week of silence ping relevant maintainers (most of them are on irc) and if that doesn't get their attention I'll escalate to the overall drm maintainer Dave Airlie. I know there's a bit of beaurocratics involved for such changes, but if you follow this protocol the patches usually can go in within 2 weeks.
