Hello,
since upgrading to Kernel 4.6, I experienced weird display delay issues
on my Thinkpad x250. Downgrading to 4.5 or disabling fbc both fix that
issue.
In some specific X software (and only in those), modifications in UI
display (e.g. keyboard input) is shown with a delay up to ~1s.
Programs where I experienced this behaviour are e.g. sakura,
wireshark-qt and sublime.
This affects other Arch Linux users as well:
https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/49623
There is also a little more information on this.
If you can tell me what logs/analysis might be useful for you, I am
happy to provide it to you, although I am not that experienced with
this stuff.

If that's Haswell, FBC has been disabled by default (again, *sigh*). The
fix is now in Linus' tree, and will eventually trickle down to v4.6
stable kernels.

It's possible we have a real fix in drm-intel-nightly branch of [1]
already, please try that with i915.enable_fbc=1.
BR,
Jani.

Hello,
since Kernel 4.6, the fbc is broken for me. Some specific X software
(e.g. wireshark-qt, sakura and sublime) display UI modifications, such
as keyboard input, with a delay up to ~1s.
Either downgrading to 4.5 or disabling fbc solve this problem.
This affects at least multiple Thinkpad and other users on Arch Linux:
https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/49623
I am no expert in this. So if I could provide anything more useful for
you, please let me know.
