Subject: Is there concept of EOL and LTS in linux kernel
Date: Thu, 08 Dec 2011 04:35:38 +0000 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <1238080865.4631101323318218585.JavaMail.root@tilmb16.indiatimes.com> (raw)
Hello All...
I was referring to an article regaring few of linux distributions, where they were referring to Long Term Support or End of Life of a particular distribution..
With regards to Linux Kernel, is the same concept (of EOL/LTS) applicable? With Linux kernel being at version 3.1.4, does this mean 2.6.* would meet end of life soon or would be considered for LTS?
Regards
Rajaneesh
