I am able to see "vmlinuz-2.6.x.x-custom-velan" and System.map-2.6.x.x-custom-velan in my /boot after #make-kpkg --initrd --append-to-version=-custom_velan kernel_image kernel_headers i don;t see initrd for this new custom kernel in /boot and also no entry is created in /boot/grub/grub.cfg. I also don't see any new file "menu.lst" in /boot/grub directory. I am using generic kernel as below. root at ubuntu:/usr/src/linux# uname -a Linux ubuntu 2.6.32-24-generic #39-Ubuntu SMP Wed Jul 28 05:14:15 UTC 2010 x86_64 GNU/Linux Can you throw some light on this. -- Regards, S.
