samples driver is not compiling and building at present dir ".ko" file

Hi,

Just for learning purpose , i need to compile the sample directory in
mainline kernel .
can anybody tell to how build samples directory through make.

Use:

$ make menuconfig,

to select CONFIG_SAMPLES=y, then
in the root of your kernel sources run:

$ make samples/
