Is there anything of the kind of a balloon process in KVM ? If it is
there, how is it made to enter into the guest (in VMware, balloon process
is a kernel-space process inside the guest)

Thanks and Regards,
Sukanto

We have a virtio balloon driver in the Linux kernel.
There is floating patch by Anthony L. that was not committed but does
work.

So that solves the problem for Linux guests having this driver. But what
about Microsoft XP ?
I am also not aware how does VMware do it. Do they install it into guests
after installation of guest OS or what ?

Thanks and Regards,
