From mboxrd@z Thu Jan 1 00:00:00 1970 From: Marcelo Tosatti Subject: [patch 2/2] support for UHCI suspend / remote wake up Date: Thu, 25 Nov 2010 15:04:41 -0200 Message-ID: <20101125170602.676792336@redhat.com> References: <20101125170439.548474575@redhat.com> Cc: Matthew Garrett , Adam Jackson , Glauber de Oliveira Costa , Gerd Hoffmann , Marcelo Tosatti To: qemu-devel@nongnu.org, kvm Return-path: Received: from mx1.redhat.com ([209.132.183.28]:38129 "EHLO mx1.redhat.com" rhost-flags-OK-OK-OK-OK) by vger.kernel.org with ESMTP id S1753848Ab0KYRIz (ORCPT ); Thu, 25 Nov 2010 12:08:55 -0500 Content-Disposition: inline; filename=usb-uhci-suspend Sender: kvm-owner@vger.kernel.org List-ID: This patch enables USB UHCI global suspend/resume feature. The OS will stop the HC once all ports are suspended. If there is activity on the port(s), an interrupt signalling remote wakeup will be triggered. To enable autosuspend for the USB tablet on Linux guests: echo auto > /sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:01.2/usb1/1-1/power/level It reduces CPU consumption of an idle FC12 guest from 2.7% to 0.3%.
